Women encouraged to download new NHS health app
It’s hard when you’re a SEND mum or carer to find time for your own physical and mental health, self-care and wellbeing. This new NHS health app might be just what you need!
Young women with SEND often struggle to manage their own health and wellbeing. So, if you are a parent or carer you can also use the new app to find advice that you can use to help your daughter.
The app is called the Cheshire and Merseyside Women’s Health and Maternity App. It was launched recently by NHS Cheshire and Merseyside. The app was developed with input from national and local clinicians and service users. It contains advice and guidance on all areas of female wellbeing, including periods and contraception, screening information, menopause to pelvic health, immunisations, and pregnancy.
The huge amount of health information online can often be overwhelming for many women, and there is also a lot of misinformation available. The Cheshire and Merseyside Women’s Health and Maternity App provides trusted information and advice for women’s health in one place.
It is available to download from Google Play for Android devices and from the Apple App Store. The app provides information to women, all those born female and all those who may need to access Women’s Health services throughout their life.
