Book onto the next parent/carer EBSA training

Would you like to know more about how to support your child/young person with emotional based school avoidance (EBSA)?

The date for the next Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) training session for parents and carers has now been released. The workshop will take place on Thursday 13th March from 10am to 2.30pm at Carrbridge Centre, Carr Bridge Road, Birkenhead, CH49 8EU. A free buffet lunch will be provided and attendees will receive a Max Card.

The free one-day training sessions have been developed by Wirral EBSA strategy, in collaboration with Parent Carer Participation Wirral (PCPW). This training will provide:

  • Information about emotional barriers that can impact on school attendance.

  • Practical tips and strategies for supporting children and young people at home, including neuro-affirmative approaches.

  • Guidance on how to raise concerns with schools and how to collaborate with professionals to support children and young people.

The session will be delivered by Wirral Educational Psychology Team. It is designed to help support Wirral families who are experiencing emotionally based barriers to school attendance.
