Jayne Jones, Headteacher of Impact North West Schools; Holly Cottrell, Founder and Executive Head of Centre; and IQM's CEO Joe McCann

Impact North West Schools, Birkenhead have been honored with the IQM Centre of Excellence status. This award celebrates the school's exceptional commitment to inclusive education practices.

Impact North West applied for the IQM (Inclusion Quality Mark) award, and the inspector was so impressed, he also named them as a Centre of Excellence on the day of the inspection, even though they hadn't applied for that additional level of quality!

The IQM assessors noted:

  • Inclusive Culture: The school’s dedication to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every student feels valued and respected.

  • Innovative Practices: Recognition of the school’s innovative teaching and learning approaches that ensure all students can thrive academically and socially.

  • Community Engagement: Commendation for the school's strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the wider community, fostering a cohesive support network for students.

Jayne Jones, Headteacher of Impact North West Schools, expressed immense pride and gratitude for these achievements:

"We are thrilled to receive both the OFSTED 'Good' rating and the IQM Centre of Excellence status. These awards reflect our relentless pursuit of excellence and our deep commitment to providing an inclusive, high-quality education for all our students. I am incredibly proud of our staff, students, and families who work tirelessly every day to make our school a place where everyone can succeed."

Jayne and Holly Cottrell, Founder and Executive Head of Centre, were presented by IQM's CEO Joe McCann recently at a ceremony at Everton's Goodison Park.
