Introducing SENDSTART

We wanted to let you know that we’ve updated SENDLO with some important information about the team that is responsible for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Wirral Council has employed 38 new members of staff for this team, and it has doubled in size. The team has also been renamed and will be restructured in a new way.

The Special Educational Needs and Disability Statutory Assessment and Review team will now be known as SENDSTART. You can find out about how SENDSTART will work, how to contact them and how the new structure will help make the Education Health and Care Needs assessment process better here: SENDSTART

We’re looking forward to bringing you more updates as all of new the team members take up their posts and undergo their induction, which was coproduced with Parent Carer Participation Wirral (PCPW).
