SEND Preparation for Adulthood Festival

On Tuesday 8th October 2024, a SEND Preparation for Adulthood Festival will take place at the Floral Pavilion. This event is aimed at Wirral’s SEND young people from age 11 – 25 preparing for adulthood, moving to adult services and planning for their futures.

This will be an accessible and interactive event featuring lots of information stalls about health and social care services, community and housing services, as well as education and career options and opportunities. By bringing together all of these services under one roof, SEND young people and their families will be able to access information and advice directly from professionals, whilst also exploring a huge marketplace of helpful services and organisations.

As well as the marketplace, there will also be workshops to take part in, a sensory room available, and lots of talks taking place in the theatre itself – the schedule of talks and workshops will be published once it has been finalised.
