February Half Term SEND Activities Round-Up
We know it’s still only January but half term is only around the corner! Check out our round-up of some of the SEN-friendly activities available this February.
Active Allsports Disability Holiday Programme
The Active Allsports Disability Holiday Programme for February half term 2025 runs from Monday 17 to Thursday 20 of February. The programme offers fun activities for children and young people with a disability or additional need, including bowling, dancing, swimming, soft play and Wheels Extreme! Siblings, parents and carers are welcome to all session. The family swim session are FREE and there is a small cost for the other activities.

Get active and creative in Birkenhead Park
If you’ve not seen them yet, check out the FREE events listed on our What’s on page from community group UK Unplugged in Birkenhead Park. UK Unplugged are offering two free one-hour themed walks followed by a making session on Tuesday 18 February (9:30am) and Wednesday 19 February (12:30pm).
The events offer SEND support and are ideal for those with young people aged 7+. One of the walks is focused on the history and fashion of Birkenhead Park and the other will be all about the environment and nature. There will also be an opportunity for any artwork created to be featured in a special exhibition at Birkenhead Park Visitor’s Centre during April and May.
Alpaca and pygmy goat experiences
If you are looking for an animal encounter with a difference, check out Nanny Sharon's Alpaca Farm. The farm offers 90-minute alpaca and goat walking experiences. All of the woodland paths are accessible and the farm has a Mountain Trike off-road electric wheelchair which can be taken along during the alpaca walks.
As well as the alpaca herd and pygmy goats, the farm’s residents also includes rheas and emus, wallabies, Shetland ponies, parrots and rabbits. Click here for more information, prices and to book.
