FREE wellbeing courses for Wirral residents

Be Well Community Learning has received funding from Wirral Lifelong Learning Service to provide two essential wellbeing courses for FREE!

Mental Health Awareness training course

This course offers an introduction to mental health and mental health issues. The aim of the training is to help people increase their knowledge in:

Mental health and mental health issues

Factors affecting mental health

Stigma and its impact on recovery

Beginning a conversation with someone about their mental health

Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing poor mental health

Looking after your own mental health

Date: 30th January 2025

Time: 9:30am - 3:00pm

Venue: the Wirral-based venue will be confirmed upon booking

Resilience and Wellbeing training course

This course allows participants to learn about resilience and the effect stress has on wellbeing. Through a series of exercises and activities, participants will:

  • Increase their awareness of resilience

  • Recognise the early warning signs of stress, and know how to monitor and manage their own level of risk

  • Develop an understanding of how marginal gains can build to greater wellbeing and emotional resilience

  • Be supported in practical ways of incorporating mindfulness into their everyday life.

  • Consider the positive impact of mindfulness and self care

  • Consider a personal action plan including small habit changes

Who can attend for free?

You can attend the above courses for free if you are either:

  • aged 19 and above

  • a Wirral resident

  • unemployed

  • receiving benefits, or

  • earning less than £33,958 per annum
