Wirral SEND Youth Voice get a virtual view of new park plans

Wirral SEND Youth Voice group recently got the chance to see some of the regeneration plans for Birkenhead come to life in a virtual reality (VR) experience!

The group engaged in a Wirral Regeneration consultation about the Dock Branch Park plans, which will see a disused subterranean railway between Rock Ferry and Bidston Dock turned into a new urban park.

Technology company Digital Urban took along its multi-user VR software that it has developed to the youth group and let them loose on the VR model of Dock Branch Park.

A lot of fun was had by all discussing and using AI equipment. Getting to experience what the park would be like using the VR headsets, the group were able to put forward their own ideas and highlight issues that they identified with the plan from a SEND perspective. Digital Urban were so impressed with the engagement from SEND Youth Voice that they have asked to work with them again!
